Counseling & Psychotherapy can help you to:

  • Set and achieve your goals
  • Improve your focus
  • Decrease your anxiety
  • Emerge from a rut or a slump
  • Regulate your energy
  • Balance your life
  • Transition between training and competition to the more ambiguous scenarios of personal relationships
  • Make accommodations for injuries, ageing, and time constraints.
  • Make decisions
  • Tolerate loss and frustration
  • Endure and manage success

Because I work in a way that engages the body (see How I work), people who are physically oriented seem to understand and to benefit readily from this form of treatment. Over the years, I also have gained a particular understanding of how powerfully we can influence and be influenced by even the most subtle of our physical actions and behaviors.

I will be completing my Sports Psychology Certification in 2008, in order to provide more comprehensive assistance to aspiring, reigning, retiring, amateur and professional athletes and coaches (and parents) in their personal and athletic pursuits.

My interest in working with athletes is fueled by my own passion for cycling, which spans over 25 years. I no longer race, but I continue to follow the sport, and to ride when I can.
