A diamond in the rough?
People think that they are who they are and that’s that. “This is who I am, that’s just me.”
In fact, who we are, our identity is something that we can form.
I make the translation: I am how I do things, and how I do things is something over which I have (or can learn to have) a significant amount of control.
Identity and a feeling of satisfaction (self esteem) comes from the ability to influence how we respond to impulses and situations.
My work focuses on empowering clients to form their own personalized way of doing things. This is an educational process as much as an exploratory one, and I offer the pragmatic support you need to make the life that is your potential rather than simply the living-out of an inherited fate.
